Roles in life and work:

What are you juggling right now in your life?

In addition to my Media training business, I am the Founder and CEO of PepTalkHer – were on a mission to close the gender pay gap. For the past 2 years we’ve worked with multinational companies helping them with their diversity strategies and running corporate trainings on topics like Banishing Imposter syndrome, Negotiation & High Potential Leadership programs. We are speaking at SXSW (South by Southwest) on International Women’s Day this year which is exciting! We are building an app to help you  track your every day career wins as well as negotiation and confidence coaching. Stay tuned!

How do you value your time?

My most precious asset!

How do you manage your time effectively?

I love to automate as much as possible – I use schedule once to manage my meetings, Xero for accounting & slack for comms with my team to reduce dreaded email.

How do you separate work and personal time?

As an entrepreneur I have no separation between work and life!  I would like to get better but also I love what I do! So it doesn’t really feel like work. I try and have one day a week with no technology and once a year we have a holiday with no technology… which has mixed results! In Mexico we ended up needing our phone to use Ride sharing to get around… BUT I did no emails for a week so was stoked!

What does your support network look like?

I have an amazing group of friends and also a super supportive group of women in business who always have my back and offer advice and pep talk in times of need!

What kind of conversations do you have with your inner voice?

I try and frame everything in the positive. I’m a big believer in growth mindset and the idea that what you think you become. I always try and reframe any negative thoughts that creep in as a positive.

Do you have any time saving tips for the One P community?

I do my makeup en route to meetings whether I’m on public transport, a cab or a Lyft. I also carry my laptop everywhere so I can work whenever I’m travelling. For me, having  go to work outfits in my wardrobe that make me feel amazing also help with the dreaded “urgh what to wear!” question in the morning.
